Write a short piece about a stand-off between a hero and a villain. Write it first from the hero’s perspective and then the villain’s. Who wins in the end?

Make it a point to listen in on other people’s conversations. You can do this on your commute to work, while walking down the street, at a party… it’s up to you. Chose an interesting bit of dialogue and continue the conversation on paper. See where it takes you.
