It’s been almost three years and 149 posts. Wow…
I’m sad to say that I simply don’t have the time to blog anymore. Nor do I have time to connect with other bloggers. Maybe in the future…
Thank you to all those who read, liked, and subscribed. It’s been a great three years.
All the best,
Write a short piece using the following horoscope as inspiration.
Gemini – It might be wise to slow down, especially if you have been pushing your mind and your body to extremes. Cosmic activity in the wellbeing area of your chart warns if you push harder, you could face collapse.
This week write a love letter. It can be to your partner, your child, your best friend, even your dog. Write about what makes this love great. Why you would never want to live without it.
You are visiting the year 2035. What place do you go to? How has it changed? What is happening in the world right now? Do you see yourself? What is going on in your life? Write about the future and have fun!
Write about a time where you, someone you know, or a fictional character had an epic fail. What were they trying to accomplish? What were the stakes? How did they react when they failed to accomplish their goal?
Time to practice those descriptive details! Pick a location, real or imagined, and describe it in great detail. Us all five sensse. Make the reader feel as if they’re there.
The Hero and the Villain
Write a short piece about a stand-off between a hero and a villain. Write it first from the hero’s perspective and then the villain’s. Who wins in the end?
Dropping in on conversations
Make it a point to listen in on other people’s conversations. You can do this on your commute to work, while walking down the street, at a party… it’s up to you. Chose an interesting bit of dialogue and continue the conversation on paper. See where it takes you.
Choose an ordinary object
It can be something in your home or at your office. Give it special significance. It is sentimental? Magical? Why is this item important? Write about what happens when you lose it.
What genre do you write in? Sci-fi/fantasy? Historical fiction? Romance? Today choose a genre outside of your comfort zone. Write a short piece and explore that new world.
